Um, hey, so The Local Tourist is ranked #19 in the World’s Top Travel Blogs…
Gary Arndt, publisher of Everything-Everywhere, compiled a list of 260 travel blogs from around the world. His ranking methodology combined Moz’s Domain Authority, Majestic’s Trust Flow, and social media measurement service Klout.
“It is hard to game all three of these metrics,” Arndt wrote. “The sites near the top of the list have been around for the better part of a decade.”
There, at #19, is The Local Tourist:
We’re in great company. Nomadic Matt heads the list, followed by Gary’s site. It’s a who’s who of the world’s best resources for travelers, and The Local Tourist made the cut. In a BIG way.
I’ve been covering Chicago for years and only recently began writing about other destinations, so to have my work in the top 20 sites in the world is AMAZING.
This list of the world’s best travel blogs will be updated periodically and who’s included and their placement will change since none of these numbers are static. I’m not one to rest on my laurels, though, so you can expect to see a lot more fun, exciting, and exuberant stories about unique destinations as I strive to help you experience the fascination of a tourist and feel the comfort of the local, anywhere.
