River West
The small Chicago neighborhood of River West is an old industrial district turned artist community. It’s tucked between the Chicago River North Branch and the Kennedy Expressway, in an area once bustling with warehouse business and shipping traffic. The corridor is still peppered with storeroom buildings and industrial complexes, but development of condos, lofts and art studios have brought a healthy residential spin to the local culture.
