North Host Favorite Venue- Park West

I have been to my fair share of concerts in Chicago and I am proud to say that East Lakeview is smack dab in the middle of several great venues. The Vic, Beat Kitchen, Metro, Elbo Room, Schubas, The Riviera, and Park West are all a bus ride or couple blocks walk away.

I do have my favorites though, and Park West is definitely the best. Because of their unique layout, there really aren't any bad seats in the house! This is why you can go there for a party, rock concert, DJ set, or dinner party and still end up having a good time and knowing what is going on. Most recently, I have managed to get tickets for the Pretty Lights show tonight @ Park West. If my previous experiences seeing DJ/Live band sets are any proof, tonight's concert will have great lights (like the name!) and amazing sound quality. I plan on live tweeting from the show tonight if you'd like to follow along @randommsugirl.

Meanwhile, when you think about which concerts to attend, check Park West's schedule. The lineup is super eclectic, but none of the concerts are disappointing because the venue is so good. There are multiple bars, they actually have a real live box office, and the bathrooms are definitely less creepy than the ones at The Vic. You can check out upcoming shows here.
