About Me
I'm a photographer with Chicago as my backdrop. Architecture, food, weather, and sports are some of the subjects I love shooting. I’ve always been a “right-brained” person, heavily focused on the visual and creative arts. So when my love for art and my affinity for working a camera crossed paths a few years ago, photography immediately became a passion of mine.
I originally studied marketing at Bradley University and worked in the advertising field for a handful of years where I developed an deep interest for the impact branding and design could have on a business. But after a few years in the corporate world, I realized I wanted to have a greater, more direct, impact on my clients’ visual appearance. Once I came to that conclusion, photography would no longer be a hobby, but a lifestyle and career choice.
Now I see the world in potential photographs. Pure and simple, I love what I do. As a proud Chicagoan, I don't take the multitude of attractions, culture, and history our city has to offer for granted. My goal on The Local Tourist is to share with you the way I see out beautiful city through my photographs while helping you uncover some of the sights you may have missed, or just haven't had a chance to take a look at in a while.
