The rules are pretty simple: Treat the cemetery with respect, no fake plants (they're tacky and wasteful), leave before the gates close at 4:30pm, don't bring in any pets (but the squirrels and geese go about unmolested).
Some of the headstones have been weathered so much that they are completely indecipherable. Spooky.
Designed by Adler and Sullivan in 1890, the Getty Tomb was designated a Chicago Landmark in 1971.
The Burnham Family plot is on a small island in Graceland's pond.
I wonder if Sanders is the family name or the family dog's name. Either way, this is a nice memorial to what was obviously a beloved pet.
