Je vais bien ne t'en fais pas (Don't Worry, I'm Fine). Réalisateur: Philippe Lioret, 2006, 100 min. With an introduction by Randy Williams
Lili returns from an extended holiday in Spain to discover her 19-year-old twin brother has left home over a fight with their father. Hospitalized for anorexia over worry for his welfare, and sensing he might be dead, a postcard from her missing twin finally arrives assuring her that he is well, but will never return. Philippe Lioret's delicate direction of the film adapted from a novel by Olivier Adam subtly reveals some unexpected family dysfunction.
Nominated for five Césars, including best film and best director, awards went to Mélanie Laurent (Lili) for Most Promising Actress and Kad Merad (father) for Best Supporting Actor.
