Columbia College Chicago Presents Cabaret Fundraiser
4th floor, Chicago, IL 60605
On February 4, Columbia College Chicago presents An Evening of Cabaret, featuring veteran and emerging Chicago-area cabaret artists, including alumni, students, and faculty of the Columbia College Chicago Musical Theatre Program. The performance will raise funds for the Betty Garrett Musical Theatre Scholarship at the college.
The Betty Garrett Musical Theatre Scholarship at Columbia College Chicago is presented to undergraduate and graduate musical theatre students on the basis of academic achievement and/or accomplishment in the musical theatre program. The scholarship is named in honor of legendary actress-singer-dancer Betty Garrett, and was established with funds raised from her 1998 appearance at the Getz Theatre of Columbia College Chicago's Theatre Department.
The event is co hosted by Columbia College Trustees Chair Allen Turner and Becki Menzie, a three-time winner of Chicago’s AFTER DARK “Outstanding Cabaret Artist” award.
