Kroll's South Loop

The food at Kroll's is great! A group of 7 of us (girls and guys) went to Kroll's without a reservation on Sunday night, and we were seated in a generous-sized booth within minutes of arriving. The Kroll's burgers are excellent, the fried food sampler was delicious, and they have large portions of tasty fries that come with almost every entree /sandwich.

There are large screen TVs in some of the corners and walls of this restaurant, but you don't have to watch if you are interested in having a conversation. It's a comfortable, casual, dimly-lit atmosphere without the cheesy "flair" of other restaurants. The waiters were charming and friendly, and they refilled our drinks on a regular basis.

I will definitely return. It's an easy walk from the Field Museum / Museum Campus, and a lot of marathon runners were having dinner when we were there.
