"Chill With Us Yogurt Cafe" opens by Midway Airport, Chicago, IL

A new eatery opened outside of the Midway Airport area and across the street from the Midway Orange Line called “Chill With Us Yogurt Café.”

The owners Vasili and Lupe had their soft opening (opening prior to their Grand Opening) March 26, 2013. Their café is located at 4559 West 59th Street (south side of 59th Street, east of the freight railroad tracks – next to Midway Park Saver). Across the street from the Orange Line.

Carriage House chef Mark Steuer to cook in New York at CITY GRIT culinary salon

On Wednesday, April 17, New York culinary salon CITY GRIT will host Mark Steuer of Carriage House in Chicago as the evening’s guest chef. CITY GRIT, a concept created by chef Sarah Simmons to showcase culinary talent from around the country to a New York audience, offers a premier guest chef series. Past events have included appearances from Paul Qui, Sean Brock, April Bloomfield and more. Steuer’s dinner showcasing Lowcountry specialties from his native South Carolina costs $75 per person and starts at 7:30 p.m. CITY GRIT is located at 38 Prince St. (between Mott and Mulberry).

Bebe's Eatery and Fumare Meats Celebrates Passover

For a unique experience, Fumare Meats will be offering Pascal Ham. These locally produced hams are 1 to 2 pounds each and follow the tradition of eastern Europeans packing baskets with foods, such as the ham, to be blessed at church. Bebe’s Eatery will be celebrating Passover by taking catering reservations for their fresh and always kosher a la carte appetizers, soups, entrées and sides. All dishes are traditional in nature yet have a Bebe’s spin. Orders can be picked up or delivered through March 22.
