Thursday night I got a chance to see Chicago's very own The Paige DeChausse Band perform at Martyrs'. Yes if the name  sounds familiar and you're an American Idol fan you're familiar with this raw talent. Paige DeChausse was a finalist on the Season 9 American Idol Hollywood. Well Thursday night Paige and her fellow bandmates came out and rocked it. Each song connected with the audience and the band had a flow that worked great. I found myself no matter if I was standing or sitting wanting to move, sway or rock it out with each song. I particularly love how Paige and her lead guitarist had a rapport that definitely showed on stage, they kept the energy going throughout as she belted out those bluesy rock tunes.

The show that night opened with The Paige DeChausse Band coming on at 9pm followed by The Revivalists at 10pm, who I might add had a unique sound that if you ever get a chance to see them be sure to take advantage.

Martyrs' sits in the North Center neighborhood and the setup is mostly standing room only with some chairs around the bar in the back and a few next to the windows up front. Also there's a small parking lot on the side which I recommend you get there earlier to find a spot. Be sure to click on Martyrs' website to see what bands are playing in the month of June and if you get the munches while you're there, try the pepperoni pizza, it was pretty darn good.

Check out this clip of a video I took that night of The Paige DeChausse Band rockin' it out and gettting the crowd on their feet.
