The 12th World Summit of Nobel Peace Laureates First Time Ever in North America...Chicago

There's been a lot of talk about the NATO Summit that will be held here in Chicago this May and it has definitely caused a lot of controversy and the intensity has been high with plans for security for such high officials and the concerns from protestors about their rights to protest. But starting yesterday Chicago was also given the priviledge of hosting the 12th World Summit of Nobel Peace Laureates. It is being held from April 23rd to April 25th 2012 and you can see the live streaming on the  website. What makes this noteworthy beside the fact that we get to hear from great people of excellence, is that this Summit has never been held in North America and YES!...Chicago was the chosen location.

There's still time to catch some of the great speakers and to be proud that we here in Chicago can say we were the first to hold such an event of  it's kind here on this continent :)
