Chicago Turkish Festival

29 May 2007 Send To a Friend

Daley Plaza is home to several festivals and activities throughout the year, and one of my favorites is the Chicago Turkish Festival.

Now in it’s fifth year, this event features demonstations of art, film, dance, and music. As a Chicagoan, of course I love sampling the food. You can’t go wrong with kabobs, baklava, figs, and Turkish coffee. The orchid ice cream will be especially welcome with this hot weather!

It starts tomorrow, May 30, and runs through June 2 from 10am to 6pm each day. The free performances take place during lunch hours: noon to 2pm.
