Yoga and Sushi
“Yoga and sushi” may sound like an unlikely combination, but Tokio Pub in Schaumburg has always thought outside of the (Bento) box. On Sunday, September 22 they present this unorthodox pairing for the first time, and tickets are still available.
Tokio Pub has partnered with TriBalance Yoga Studio in Schaumburg for a Sunday morning of spiritual yoga and delicious food. On September 22nd beginning at 10:00 a.m., the restaurant will offer an hour class of outdoor yoga taught under the expertise of instructor Becki. After cleansing the mind, body and soul, Chefs Peter Balodimas and Naoki Nakashima will cook up a hearty three-course meal perfectly paired with cocktails serving just the right punch. Of course (as befits a yoga-based event) the chef can prepare all courses vegetarian.
The menu for the Yoga Brunch includes:
- Course One: Mimosa with Fresh Squeezed Orange Juice paired with Miso Cured Salmon, Sesame Bagel, Pickled Cucumber and Scallion Cream Cheese
- Course Two: Bloody Mary Verde paired with Duck Fat Fried Chicken & Waffles, Rice Waffle and Ginger Syrup
- Course Three: Pineapple Bellini paired with Tempura French Toast, Coconut Stuffed, Pineapple and Ginger-Star Anise Maple Syrup
Keeping the experience going, all guests will receive a take-home goody bag featuring Tokio Granola (toasted coconut, ginko nuts and dried mango) and a $10 gift certificate to Tokio Pub's future weekend brunch that premieres in early October.
