TASB Cut-A-Thon for Autism
If you are a salon, spa, or barber shop, I hope you’ll consider opening up your salon for the Annual TASB Cut-Thon-For Autism. And if you are a stylist, colorist or barber, I hope you might consider joining an existing salon or barber shop in your area for this worthy cause. Anyone can volunteer 30 minutes or 24 hours or your time.
In 2012, TASB gave a $2,500 grant to Autism Speaks. Autism Speaks is an organization that has grown into the world's leading autism science and advocacy organization. They are dedicated to funding research into the causes, prevention, treatments and a cure for autism. They help with awareness of whole autism spectrum, and they are advocates for the needs of individuals with autism and their families.
Last year the TASB Cut-A-Thon for Autism was mostly in the Georgia, U.S. area. But I’m inviting salons and barbers everywhere, in other cities, states and countries to participate this year.
The TASB Cut-A-Thon for Autism is scheduled for Saturday and Sunday, August 24 & 25.
I’m a believer: Every single person is a gift to our planet. Whether you have blonde hair, are rich or poor, or if you suffer or prosper, or have autism, you are a precious contributor. I have a few friends who have been diagnosed with Autism. With their patience and understanding of my past ignorance to Autism, I have learned that they are special. And it is with the public’s growing awareness, Autism organizations and Giving that we can all contribute to ensure that these special people continue to receive the special needs, advancements in understanding, and cures that they need.
