Almost a third of Chicago’s
population is Latino so it’s no surprise that LATISM 2011: the Latinos in
Social Media Conference is being held here. LATISM 2011 is a two day bilingual program
being held at Navy Pier and will feature over 100 speakers and performers and
will focus on Public Service, Business and Leadership, and Personal Influence
within the Latino Community; as well as exploring case studies in the areas of
Health, Education, Economic Development and Civic initiatives.
The overall theme for this annual conference is “Amplifying
Our Voices to Win The Future.”
Also highlighted at the conference will be the winners of
the 3rd annual LATISM Awards. LATISM Awards are the top honor recognizing
Latino achievement in the use of blogging, outreach, marketing, mobile and new
media. Click here for nominees.
LATISM begins with early registration at Navy Pier at 5pm
