International Film Festival - Free Movie Tonight

The Local Tourist's picture

The Chicago Cultural Center is one of Chicago's best resources, hosting tons of free events throughout the year. One event is the 6th Annual International Summer Screening. Each Wednesday since June 10th they've been showing films from all over the world, and now there are only three weeks left.

Tonight they're screening "Night Bus", an Italian movie with English subtitles presented by the Istituto Italiano di Cultura di Chicago, the Chicago Cultural Center and Cinema/Chicago. It's a "noir-ish caper, inflected with a touch of irony". Next week you can see "Twin Sisters" from The Netherlands, and the final film is "Frida", a Spanish movie about famed artist Frida Kahlo.

All movies begin at 6:30 and seating is first available. The films are unrated, so check out the descriptions and view discretion is advised.
