Maybe it's because I grew up in the '80s, but I just love synth-pop. It's fun; it's a great antidote to a stressful day/week/life. It's got a good beat and you can dance to it. It also seems like music to wear costumes by, so how appropriate it is that Chromeo will be at the Congress Theater the night before Halloween for Freaky Deaky Friday!

 

This duo is unabashedly funky. As they put it, they're also "the only successful Arab/Jewish collaboration since the beginning of time". They'll be joined by Crystal Castles, another duo, who will be fresh off an Australian tour. Coming down from Montreal after a European run, East Berlin DJ Boys Noize (a.k.a. Alexander Ridha) will also take the stage.

 

Want to go? Tickets are $35, but one person can win six tickets ('cause a concert like this should be enjoyed with friends)! All you have to do to enter is:
