Taste of TLT Weekend Edition - May 13, 14 & 15, 2011

Stop by the Fine Arts Building and see where the magic happens, and where it's happened for artists, musicians and authors since 1898. It's the second Friday of the month and that means that several of the studios are open, so you can see paintings, artistic jewelry, breath walking, mixed media, and Hodge the cat.

If it's second Friday today, that means it's second Saturday tomorrow, and that means it's time for garden tours at Lincoln Park Zoo. They do more than care for the animals; they keep the grounds looking gorgeous and you can learn how they do it. The tour's free and no registration is required, so just show up and put on your gardening cap.

It may be second Friday and Saturday, but it's also third Sunday, and that means that El Cid is hosting its "Pig and Swig" back patio pig roast. There will be tons of pork-themed dining options and drink specials.

Want to be green? Then head to McCormick Place for the Green Festival. You'll learn all about being sustainable and you'll have a good time doing it. There are activities for kids and adult beverages for the adults. Organic, of course.

Are you an old soul? Then you may just find what you're looking for this Saturday. The Vintage Bazaar in Pilsen has fifty vendors selling vintage furniture, housewares, decor, clothing and accessories. On the north side Roscoe Village is having a massive garage sale. Over 20 households are giving up the goods for bargain hunters.

Andersonville has a different version of the neighborhood walk. In theirs, you drink your way from block to block. Visit 11 stops and try over 30 wines at the Andersonville Wine Walk beginning at 3pm on Sunday.
