Festival season is in full swing, when you can almost pick a neighborhood at random and find a celebration. Start the weekend with the Eastside Millennium Art Festival, an art fair that invites you to "celebrate art in the city". It opens at noon on Friday at Michigan and Lake.

Saturday is when it really feels like summer in Chicago, though. The Chicago Tribune's Printers Row Lit Fest brings literacy to the streets - literally! Browse through bargain books and rare collectibles and listen to authors and publishers speak in over 100 free programs.

Ukrainian Village has a super-sized block party with Do Division Street Fest & Sidewalk Sale. Ten blocks are lined with food, music and crafts from the surrounding neighborhood.

We need you! to help get our motors running! On 6/6 Jim Goodrich & Theresa Carter are traveling Route 66 from Chicago to Santa Monica and back. Get your kicks at our send off party on 6/4 with live music, great door prizes, and the chance to win a Chevy for a week from GM. RSVP at bit.ly/66party

Not technically a Chicago-style festival, the Strawberry Festival is at the French Market. The indoor market will be awash with strawberries from Noon to 3 on Saturday. There'll be strawberry cakes, strawberry crepes, strawberry smoothies, strawberry rhubarb tarts with toasted streusel, strawberry frasier, strawberry paczki and chocolate covered strawberries just to name a few.

Then there's the Sausage Fest. This one's outside, but there aren't a whole lot of sausages. Instead there's lots of music, which makes sense since this was formerly known as the Lakeview Music Fest. There is, however, a contest on Saturday morning to see who's going to be the next Abe Froman, Sausage King of Chicago.

The oldest juried art fair in Chicago is the 57th Street Art Fair in Hyde Park. This event is family friendly and alcohol free and has activities and playgrounds for kids.

There is much, much more going on, and you can find them all on our events calendar.

Have a great weekend!
