Kick up your heels, country fans. Casey Moran's in Wrigleyville is kicking off Casey's Country Night Fridays this weekend. They'll be playing country music and the DJ's will even be taking requests. They're also offering $3 PBR tall boys, $5 Jeremiah Weed Lemonades, and $5 Wild Turkey Shots, so you can drown your sorrows with friends in low places.

Across the street on Saturday catch a snowmobile competition. Red Bull Fuel and Fury has invited the top snowmobilers from around the world to show their stuff outside Wrigley Field. Since I know you're not ready for snow yet you don't have to worry about them trucking stuff in. The course will be made of woodchips, dirt and turf. Tickets are free but you must register.

That's an extreme sport, but 115 Bourbon Street is hosting an extreme fundraiser. Dreams For Kids is raising money for their Extreme Recess programs with beer, buffet, and a band. What's Extreme Recess? It's a program that adapts sports like snow skiing and biking so that kids with physical and developmental challenges can participate.

Cheers, cheers, Beer Hoptacular is here! At this beer-extravaganza at the Aragon you'll have your choice of over 100 craft and specialty beer varieties from 30-plus breweries. The evening session is sold out, but you can still get tickets to the afternoon session for $35 plus over $10 in fees. Avoid the service charge by picking up your tickets at the Vic Theatre box office.

Saturday night stop by the Chicago Bagel Authority for the Go Local Chicago Launch Party. Owner JP Hochbaum has been instrumental in keeping TLT up to date, including selecting events for these daily missives, and he's using that expertise to help Chicagoans buy locally. Learn about the program, pick up your own card, and enjoy some Metropolitan beer and awesome sandwiches. As a side "note", all of the proceeds from the event benefit local band "Bullet Called Life".

Music: The fun intro and outro music is from 56 Hope Road
