"The first rule of Write Club is to tell 5 people about Write Club." What's Write Club
, you ask? It's a competition at The Hideout inviting writers to battle it out for fun, glory, and the charity of their choice. Two at a time expound on opposing ideas and the audience votes. This week's theme is "Stuck At The Kids' Table", so all topics are Thanksgiving-related. Tickets are $8 and the event is 21 and up.
What do you get when you combine Glinda the Good Witch, CEO clowns, highway robbers, and aliens? Detours
, from Gorilla Tango Theater. The show is one night only and only $15, so get your tickets before a house falls on it or something.
After filling up on turkey and stuffing and sweet potatoes and green bean casserole, "Skittles For Dinner
" doesn't sound like such a bad idea. Carisa and Kevin think it's such a great idea that they've created a whole sketch around it. Tickets are $10 and the show closes tonight, so hurry up before the skittles are all gone.
See up-and-coming comedians from one of the best schools in the country. Every Tuesday night Second City Shorts
screens under-two-minute shorts based on an audience suggestion from a week before. That's followed by faculty showing that those who teach, also do.
Have a great day!
