Taste of TLT - March 8, 2012

"If Wicker Park Bucktown were an alcoholic drink, how would it taste?" That's the question that will be answered at tonight's Mixologist Mash-up at Jackson Junge Gallery. Some of the best bartenders in Wicker Park and Bucktown are going to create the drink they think best represents their neighborhoods. The $25 tickets include tastings of the cocktails, voting, and light appetizers as well as a subscription to TimeOut Chicago and 20% off drink deck.

Right around the corner catch live music and free pizza at Double Door. TLT favorite band Cobalt & The Hired Guns met their Kickstarter goal, so they're thanking everyone with pizza after their set. They're on at 7:30, and stick around for more music by Merly Shertz, Bassel, and JIP-JOP. Tickets are $8 or grab a flyer from the band's Facebook page and pay just $5.

Tonight's Chicago Live! at UP Comedy Club should be an interesting one. Not only will circus-punk marching band Mucca Pazza be featured guests, so will NATO summit host committee chair Lori Healey. The show is recorded live weekly with Rick Kogan and aired on Saturday nights on WGN.

Bowling is sold out at the Rock, Roll & Bowl benefit for Lawrence Hall Youth Services, but you can still join in the fun and have a good time. "Graze and Games" tickets are still available for $45 and include food and casino games. The event is being held at 10pin and runs from 6 to 9pm.

Music: The awesome intro and outro music is from Chicago singer/songwriter David Kav
