Taste of TLT - March 17, 2011

Erin go bragh! It's St. Patrick's Day, so get out your beer and your brogue, because everyone in Chicago is Irish today!

If you missed TLT favorite Red Rebel County at Joe's last Friday, you can catch them again today. They'll be at 115 Bourbon Street performing their fun, rousing, Irish music. There will even be Irish dancers to really get your spirits up.

Chicago Live! is getting in the spirit of the holiday at their season finale. Tonight they'll have Irish singer/musician Paddy Homan and former and future Chicago Irish Queens in addition to alt-country hero Robby Fulks.
Visit thelocaltourist.com/holidays/stpatricksday to find more places to celebrate. And remember to be safe. Miller Lite makes it easy for northsiders. They're offering free rides downtown and from Lincoln Park to Wrigleyville and back from 2 to 10pm.

St. Patrick's Day not your thing? Take advantage of the Art Institute's free evening, or visit Adler Planetarium for their After Dark event.

Celebrate bubbly from all over the world with DOC Wine Bar's French Champagnes and World Sparklings event. In addition to the tasting there will also be an assortment of appetizers. Please note that this is at their Lombard location.

Feel like you're traveling across the world with Alliance Francaise's screening of Journey To Algiers. The award-winning film tells the story of an Algerian widow's struggle to hold on to her house and six orphans.

Have a great day!

Music: The awesome intro and outro music is from Chicago singer/songwriter David Kav
