Taste of TLT - July 25, 2011
Spend your lunch break in Millennium Park today and enjoy the cool sounds of the Chicago Jazz Philharmonic. Their combination of jazz and classical will both relax and energize you for the rest of the afternoon.
A trip to Hawaii would be relaxing, but if you can't make it to the 50th state visit Roy's for a taste of the islands. From 4:30 to 6:30pm they offer $5 appetizers and drinks, including crunchy golden lobster potstickers, tempura crusted spicy ahi roll, and their own private label Chardonnay and Cabernet.
See famed soprano Beverly Sills on screen tonight in her signature role as "Violetta". Verdi's 'La Traviata" will be shown at the Harold Washington Public Library Center in the Loop for free.
Whether you want to be a Shark or a Jet or just want everybody to get along you'll enjoy tonight's screening of "West Side Story". The Bernstein and Sondheim classic will be shown outside in Oz Park. While you're there check out the statues from another favorite movie - Dorothy and Toto and their friends from The Wizard Of Oz call this park home.
Have a great day!
