prasino is spirited about sustainability. They're also spirited about spirits. Join them tonight for their Spirit Education Program. Each week they're featuring artisanal, small batch producers, and tonight you'll learn about Northshore and hum. Reservations are required and tickets are $48 plus tax and gratuity.

The spirits are out of this world at Adler Planetarium's "Adler After Dark". Each month you can enjoy a cocktail while exploring the exhibitions, taking in a show, or looking through a telescope. In fact, at this event is the only time you can look through the famed Doane Observatory telescope. Tonight's event celebrates the Lunar New Year with the Chinese Fine Arts Society to bring in the Year of the Dragon. Tickets are $12 online or $17 at the door.

Want to support the arts in 2012? Then attend tonight's reception for the International Volunteer Network of Chicago. The focus this month will be on "Volunteer Opportunities in the Arts". Your $35 ticket gets you food and drink and the opportunity to meet organizations that support Chicago area arts and cultural institutions.

Support fiction writers and head to Galway Arms for the Gumbo Fiction Salon. The monthly reading series invites writers of all fiction, whether literary, mainstream, or genre, to share their work. Entrance is $4 or $2 for students.
