The Lodge Tavern
is the Gold Coast's original neighborhood bar. For 55 years they've been serving drinks and conversation, and during that time they've made an effort to keep the original ambiance. Tonight they're celebrating with 55 cent drinks. From 9pm until 4am that's all it will cost you to get a beer or a cocktail.
The name Genghis Khan
conjures up images of a warlord and a tyrant, a warrior that cut a swath of destruction across Asia and Russia. But there was more to the leader than just destruction. The story plays out at The Field Museum with a new exhibit that opened Friday. General admission is free today but there's an additional fee to see the exhibit.
