Taste of TLT - December 13, 2011

Andersonville will be lit up tonight by the Festival of St. Lucia, a celebration of lights. Join them for this annual candle-lit procession down Clark Street. You'll sing carols and then celebrate the season at the Swedish American Museum. Participating in the procession is free and entrance to the museum is one dollar or a canned food item, which will help the homeless.

The Lucia celebrations aren't just limited to Andersonville today. Starting at 11:30am in Daley Plaza there will be Lucia candidates and the 2011 Lucia Queen, who will be leading the procession tonight, will be chosen. Daley Plaza is also the site of the Christkindlmarket, so you can celebrate like the Germans AND the Sweeds!
