Taste of TLT - April 7, 2011
Today it's the home opener for the White Sox! Just like they did for the Cubs, Johnny Rocket's is offering $1 hot dogs at all of their locations.
In more food news, eat at Edwardo's Natural Pizza today and they'll donate 20% to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. Participating locations are at 1212 N Dearborn and 521 S Dearborn, and they're running this donation all day at both places. All you have to do is mention Karing For A Cure.
Stop into David Burke's Primehouse for their fifth anniversary party, where they celebrate, as they say, "five years of transporting guests to culinary heaven". Guests will get to try the Citrine Bombshell, a signature Goose Island beer flavored with blood oranges, and a complimentary complementary appetizer from Chef Rick Gresh.

I AM Logan Square has come up with some pretty creative ways to highlight the neighborhood. For example, tonight is Art. Swap. Meet. Artists are invited to bring a piece of work to swap out with other artists and all are invited to enjoy the show. The $10 suggested donation benefits the galleries of the Milwaukee Avenue Art Festival. Bonus: Revolution Brewery is providing beer and Cafe Con Leche is offering hors d'oeuvres.
Lincoln Park boasts sixteen vintage portrait statues - you know, the larger-than-life portrayals of important figures in Chicago's history. Author and illustrator Krista August will be at Bridgeview Bank tonight for her book launch of Giants In The Park. In addition to a book signing and photography and sculpture exhibit there will also be food and drink provided by Charlie Trotter's, Cooper's Hawk Winery and more.
Have a great day!
