Taste of TLT - April 4, 2011
Ever wondered what the food tastes like on Iron Chef? Now's your chance. Every Monday Mercat a la Planxa is serving a five-course menu inspired by one of the secret ingredients Executive Chef Jose Garces has successfully created on the Food Network's hit show, "Iron Chef America." Today and next Monday they'll be focusing on Mexican chocolate.
Geja's Cafe, known as one of the most romantic restaurants in Chicago, is hosting an Alexander Valley Vineyards Winemaker Dinner. One of the owners of the winery will be on hand during this multi-course meal to talk about the wines and answer any questions.
Are you one of those people that can pull a movie line out for any situation? Then The Whistler's Movieoke night is for you. Put on a costume, take the mic and act out the movie scenes playing on the big screen.
And we're off! Today's Taste of TLT is brought to you by Early Derby. On April 16, spend a day at Hawthorne Race Course with a full buffet, bar, and trolley transportation to and from downtown Chicago. Tickets are only $25 and every guest is entered to win a $5,000 Kentucky Derby Bet. To RSVP visit http://bit.ly/earlyderby
Catch dinner and a show at The Parthenon Restaurant. Musical comedy Nobody Likes Retsina will be performed at the Greektown restaurant, and tickets include an appetizer, salad, entree, dessert, a glass of wine and a small glass of Retsina.
For over twenty years Underground Wonder Bar has been a late night spot for great jazz. Come see them tonight in their new home underneath The Joynt and enjoy some international flair.
