Here's a good one for you: the guys from South Park write a Broadway musical. It wins a gazilion Tonys and sells out across the country.
Funny, right? Except it's true! The Book Of Mormon is a runaway success that's surprised everyone, including its creators. Which you probably know and now are really kind of angry with me for rubbing it in because you can't get tickets.
Enter Broadway In Chicago! They sent out an email with suggestions on how to get tickets to the hottest show in Chicago, and here's our take on them:
1. Do Ya' Feel Lucky?
If you're the flexible kind, you might luck out the day of the show. Each day they offer a few seats for that day's performance for just $25. To enter you have to go to the box office - no online entries. They'll select the winners two hours before the show and you have to be present to win. Basically if you go this route just plan on sticking around the Bank Of America Theatre. If you do win, you still have to purchase your ticket. If they've got any extras they'll release them an hour before the show. For complete details see the official rules.
2. Plan Ahead. Far, Far Ahead
Don't even think about getting tickets for Valentine's Day, but March? March is OK. They recommend looking at dates no earlier than March 5.
3. Pay. A Lot.
If you can swing it, they've got premium seats available.
4. Express Yourself
Have you got an American Express card? You get preferred seating.
5. Weekends Are For Amateurs
The pros go out during the week! Look for open seats on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
Now stop reading and go get those tickets before ALL of them are gone!
