Free Days at Chicago Museums in March

There aren't as many free days at Chicago museums in March as there are in the first two months of the year, but you can still get out and enjoy these top attractions.

Most of the museums are free for Illinois residents only, so be sure to bring your license or state ID!

Adler Planetarium:

Art Institute of Chicago:

  • Thursday nights from 5pm to 8pm

Chicago History Museum:

  • Neighborhood: Lincoln Park
  • March: 4

DuSable Museum of African American History:

  • Neighborhood: Hyde Park
  • Free on Sundays

Field Museum of Natural History:

  • Neighborhood: Grant Park / Museum Campus
  • March: 6, 7

Museum of Contemporary Art:

  • Neighborhood: Magnificent Mile / Streeterville
  • Free on Tuesdays

Museum of Science & Industry:

  • Neighborhood: Hyde Park
  • March: 4

Shedd Aquarium:

  • Neighborhood: Grant Park / Museum Campus
  • March 4, 5, 11, 12, 18, 29, 25, 26
