Enjoy Free Days Now - Rate Increases at Two Chicago Museums

On Wednesday both the Museum of Science & Industry and the Art Institute of Chicago were given approval to increase their rates, although Chicago residents are still getting a break.

Fortunately for Illinois residents there are plenty of free days. The Museum of Science & Industry is free on weekdays through January, and the Art Institute through February 13.

Museum of Science & Industry

Effective January 23

  Chicago Resident Non-Resident
Adult $15 $18
Senior $14 $17
Child (ages 3 - 11) $10 $11


Art Institute of Chicago


Effective February 1

  Chicago Resident Non-Resident
Adult $18 $23
Senior $12 $17
Child under 14 free free
