Gemini Bistro (2075 N Lincoln Ave, 773-525-2522) is one of the newest offerings in Chicago's mercurial restaurant scene. It opened in September and has pretty much received general acclaim since then. Find out why during The Local Tourist Restaurant Week. 1st course:

YIA YIA’S SALAD - feta, cucumbers, red onion, tomato, olives, croutons

WINTER SALAD – dried cherries, candied walnuts, roquefort, champagne vinaigrette

CREAMLESS TOMATO SOUP – herkimer cheddar grilled cheese

CAESAR SALAD – caesar dressing, parmigiano, brioche croutons, fresh white anchovy

MUSHROOM RISOTTO – roasted mushrooms, parmigiano, white truffle oil

2nd course:

SHORT RIB RAVIOLI – tomato marmalade, parmigiano, natural reduction

GEMINI BURGER – 8 oz prime beef, pretzel bun optional bacon, cheddar & BBQ

ROASTED SALMON – savoy cabbage, smoked bacon, coriander vinaigrette

AMISH CHICKEN – crispy skin breast, braised thigh, mashed potato, mushroom ragout

STEAK FRITES – grilled hangar steak, maitre’d butter, bordelaise, crispy frites

3rd course:

HOT APPLE CRISP – oatmeal streusel, vanilla gelato, cinnamon anglaise

GERMAN CHOCOLATE CAKE – coconut walnut frosting, hazelnut caramel, hazelnut gelato

CRÈME BRÛLÉE – vanilla bean custard, carmelized sugar, hazelnut biscotti
