Around the World in 175+ Films

October is a great month for a number of reasons. Before global warming, October was the month when fall was in full swing. Hugh Jackman, Tom Petty, and (ZOMG) Josh Hutcherson were born in October! We get a bank holiday on the 8th (Columbus Day) and Halloween caps the month off. If you haven't been swept away by these exciting October facts, you might be asking yourself "Where is she going with this?" Well, readers, I am going to Sweden, France, Mexico, Greece, Canada, and Ireland! Well, I'm not really going to all of those places. I am going through the magic of celluloid.

Yes, friends, you too can visit all of these place through the big screen at the Chicago International Film Festival! Running from October 11-25, we can all experience what these different countries around the world have to offer through film. Just take a look at this schedule! Film festivals are a great chance to see what filmmakers around the world are doing.
