Grass Fed Beef, Craft Beer, and Lost Lovers at DMK

I’ve been lucky enough to date some phenomenal, and diverse, women from the Midwest. One or two didn’t eat beef, a few of them always went for green or pink drinks, and the majority of them felt “flats” (a.k.a. flat bottomed shoes) were for quitters. I wouldn’t change any of these ladies, but there is something to be said about a woman who enjoys the complexity of craft beer.

Recognizing that beer appreciation is trait that needs to be passed down from generation to generation, DMK Burger Bar is hosting a “Lost Lovers Hook Up Party” on Valentine’s Day from 7:30 p.m. until midnight. The night includes unlimited craft brews, all the burgers and fries your heart desires, a few lusty movies on the house TVs, and a toast to free spirited young lovers and friends with benefits.

Toasting to young lovers and friends with benefits sounds 100 times better than the subpar “champagne” toasts bars offer on New Year’s Eve, but I’m hesitant about the logistics of this event. DMK is more of a “sit down and chat with friends” restaurant than a bar meant for mingling. If you’re on the prowl, I recommend bringing a wingman and saddling up the bar. This will give you top notch access to the beer, an opportunity to check out everyone that walks through the door, and the ability to move across the room is someone catches your attention. If you do end up with a table, keep an eye out for an opportunity to combine your table with a table of the opposite sex.

Regardless of your V-Day luck, $50 a person (plus tax and gratuity) for four and a half hours of craft beer, great burgers and homemade fries is a great deal. I’m a huge advocate for DMK and on a normal night it’s easy to spend $50 per person if you dive head first into the menu and beer list. Taking advantage of this Valentine’s Day offer will have your taste buds, and hopefully your little black book, thanking you for the next few weeks.
