Introducing: Jason Budd

Greetings fellow Chicagoans! My name is Jason Budd and I’m a new Contributor for The Local Tourist. The amazing food scene in Chicago was one of the main factors that made the decision to move from the Washington DC/Metro Area an easy one.  My first meal in the city, a lunch at Blackbird, made me realize how much I had been missing.  DC has been making strides to move beyond the Congressional “steak and martini” boys clubs, but when it comes to restaurants it can’t hold a candle to Chicago. 

My primary focus will be on my loves – food (restaurants and cooking), drink, art and discovering those new and/or unique happenings around town.  I hope to show you hot new spots, hidden gems and something fresh at your old favorites.  In the end, I’ll be showing without a doubt why Chicago is just the best city around!
