New on TLT - Map This

Ever since I started The Local Tourist oh, so many years ago, my mom's been asking me "when are you going to have maps". Sure, they're on the listings, but that's not good enough. No; she wanted them on the category pages also, so if she's looking for a restaurant or a museum or a biker bar she can actually see where they are.

Fine, Mom, ya' happy now?

OK, she doesn't really have a nasally voice nor does she wag her finger at me (although she would go to a biker bar), but she has suggested for years that maps are a good thing. Because I really try to be a good daughter now when you're looking for a bowling alley or a day spa or someplace with Thai cuisine in the Loop that's open for lunch, you'll also see your choices on a map.

Don't you just hate it, I mean love it when Mom's right?
