From the band: “The Real Jane Martin is an acoustic rock duo from Chicago, IL.
Musician-songwriters Mark Burns and Allen Rein, friends since their days together at Actors Theatre of Louisville, formed TRJM in 2006.
Allen tends to overthink things. Mark is allergic to gluten, which means no pancakes. Neither can agree on what is to be considered “proper attire.” Brewing conflicts, such as these, promise to be the source of explosive tension between the two and will inevitably lead to a messy break up, farewell tour, tearful reconciliation and profitable reunion tour.”
Their next show is at the Elbo Room on April 26, and they’ll be at Silvie’s Lounge on May 8. Also look for an upcoming podcast on Chicago Acoustic Underground.
