A Pox On Your Phone Tax
12 January 2008 Send To a FriendCook County Residents: There’s a plan in the works to add a phone tax, and not just to land lines. Every cell phone and every broad band line would be subject to this $48/year tax. That may not sound too bad, except the tax would increase every year at the rate of inflation. And what about all those families with multiple cell phones?
There’s a website with more information on the tax itself, and information on how to tell the Board of Commissioners to take that tax and shove it. OK, they’re a little nicer than that, but they do get the point across.
