Hey all you geeky girls out there - and I know there are a lot of you, judging by the response to "It's Chic To Be Geek" - there's another event this Thursday. The monthly Chicago Geek Girls Dinner is not only hosted by Roundarch, but the women from this web design company will be talking about their expertise: user interaction. I'll also be there to chat about The Local Tourist's recent site redesign.

Social Media Club was started a couple of years ago to share best practices, standards, and maybe most importantly, ethics in social media:

Allie Osmar's only been in Chicago for a little over a year, but she's already making a mark. In addition to her work at Edelman PR, she's created a podcast and blog called The Creative Career. This site is focused on helping other "millennials, generation-Y, twenty-something's" navigate the sometimes scary and often overwhelming career world.

That's "thank you" in Portuguese. Last night Jim Grillo of Here's Chicago and I cohosted an event at the new Texas de Brazil right off the Magnificent Mile and I can't tell you how many "wow, this is a great event" comments we received! For that, we owe a big thank you to both Texas de Brazil and Paramount PR, who not only set up the event but handled the RSVPs and took photos (those will be up later).
